- Loan programs for districts to purchase equipment Oklahoma recently added an Equipment Revolving Fund to our conservation district act. Do any states have loan programs for districts to purchase equipment? If so, can you provide me with copies of promulgated rules, policy, forms or background information? Thanks.

- Saving department of ag, New Jersey The NJ Governor has proposed to eliminate the NJ Dept. of Ag. Districts are lobbying state legislators to keep the dept. Their plan is to first save the dept. from elimination, then emphasize the essential function of districts. This way, if the dept. is eliminated, the districts can position themselves to be transferred to another agency. Other states had similar experience?

- District employees funded under a contribution agreement with NRCS We are wondering whether it is required that district employees funded under a Contribution Agreement with NRCS to provided technical assistance on Farm Bill Practices be paid the same salary as their federal counterparts are. - Carbon credit trading How are your conservation districts becoming involved with carbon credit trading? Are your conservation districts verifying acres that are signed onto this program?
