      Have any State Conservation Agencies developed soil health training modules, soil health certifications, or soil health standards for conservation district programs or personnel?

            In the Upper Midwest, the Conservation Professional Training Program (CPTP) has developed a live “Introduction to Healthy Soils” course and is in the process of moving it to a hybrid delivery (online plus a field component). Hybrid courses are also being developed (for both the public sector conservation agencies and for a major private sector agronomy firm) focused on:

            * Soil Moisture Management (infiltration/retention)
            * Cover Crop Management (in livestock, row crop and seed corn production systems)
            * Integrating Best Management Practices into building soil health.

            We anticipate all four being available later this summer, and will be looking for state-level partners to assist with deployment

              Oklahoma is developing soil health training modules for district employees and NRCS field staff.

                Minnesota does not have any state intiated soil heatlh training and/or certification efforts. The NRCS is proposing local soil health teams but it has not gotten off the ground in any real way.

                    We have not done any such thing in Colorado but it sounds like a great idea!
