Have any State Conservation Agencies developed soil health training modules, soil health certifications, or soil health standards for conservation district programs or personnel?
Kent ZimmermanNebraska has not.
Brent DykesGeorgia – NO
Kevin ErbIn the Upper Midwest, the Conservation Professional Training Program (CPTP) has developed a live “Introduction to Healthy Soils” course and is in the process of moving it to a hybrid delivery (online plus a field component). Hybrid courses are also being developed (for both the public sector conservation agencies and for a major private sector agronomy firm) focused on:
* Soil Moisture Management (infiltration/retention)
* Cover Crop Management (in livestock, row crop and seed corn production systems)
* Integrating Best Management Practices into building soil health.We anticipate all four being available later this summer, and will be looking for state-level partners to assist with deployment
