In West Virginia the state code states that supervisors are entitled to reasonable and necessary expenses and per diem (presently expenses are set at $30.00 per day for meals, 50.5 cents per mile plus $60.00 per day ) when engaged in the performance of his or her duties. The expense and per diem rate shall be established by the state committee. What is paid or reimbursed to conservation supervisors/commissioners in other states? If so does the Agency/Commission provide the payment or is it paid through the local conservation district? Thank you. Carolyn Hefner (chefner@wvca.us)
