NASCA joined national, state, and local leaders in Washington, DC at a special White House conference: Creating a 21st Century Strategy for America's Great Outdoors. The meeting highlighted national conservation efforts, discussed concerns for the future of American conservation, and most importantly, emphasized America's commitment to its land.

President Obama addressed the attendees and also signed a Presidential Memorandum for America's Great Outdoors Initiative. The Initiative would help advance community-led work to conserve outdoor spaces.
